Demographics of Little Odessa

Little Odessa currently has over 34000 residents with a slight majority of them being female. 1 out of every 4 residents in Little Odessa is over the age of 65, which is much higher in comparison to New York City. New York City’s population over 65 is around 14 percent. Little Odessa is a predominantly white neighborhood with over 70 percent of the population being white. The rest of the population is mixed between Hispanic and Asian. Under 1 percent of the population is Black.

The main takeaway is that although the white population and specifically Eastern European is still strong in Little Odessa, other groups like the Hispanic population and Asian population are growing in Little Odessa. The main roads and central parts of Little Odessa are still visibly heavily Eastern European, but the outskirts are certainly featuring Asian and Hispanic cultures to represent the slightly changing landscape.
